Default Baja vs. Dolphin

We have a cruise booked on Golden Princess, TA called and offered us a mini -suite room on Baja deck at back of ship, or Dolphin deck in middle of ship. Not sure which room would be better. Any one stayed in both areas that can help me out?

The Baja deck will have a smaller balcony but totally private. The Dolphin will have a larger balcony, with part of it open for sun (and also for people to be able to look down on you from Baja and Aloha decks)

See my Star Princess ship photos under photo gallery for an exact look. (We were on Baja)

Forget about the deck. It is the position of the ship that is important. We had a fantastic mini-suite on Baja at the back of the ship. No complaints about the room and its balcony or its view but be warned. In terms of stability in rougher seas, it is always the calmest mid-ship, the back of ship then front of ship. Just came back from the a 10-day Sun cruise. The vibration is must stronger at the back of the ship when sailing even in calm seas (remember that at the back of the ship, you are on top of the propellers even thought you are 10 or so floors above sea level). We actually found the vibration and "rolls" at night great to get to sleep but others may not find it so. However when the waves are about 8ft, you will definitely feel this at the back of the ship while it is still relatively steady mid-ship where the various lounges are. I did feel slighty queesy one evening in the room at the back of the ship but easily recovered after about 30 mins when we went for drinks in the lounge mid-ship.
