Default Galley Tours on the Golden

are these available? We did one a few years ago and were fascinated by the inner-workings of the kitchens.

Yes, but I think it was only offered once or twice. It followed a cooking demonstration in one of the lounges. Ask when you get on board so you don't miss it. I agree that it is facinating! I can't believe they coordinate so much stuff to all be done roughly the same time.

Have a great time!

There was a galley tour on the Sun Princess cruise we on recently - normally held on a sea day. There was a cooking demonstration at 9 am followed by a galley tour at 10 am. Much as I would love to have walked around the kitchen, I fancied a late lie in my bed. They have to time it carefully so that they wont be preparing meals - so 10 am is around when breakfast has been cleared up but lunch has not quiet started as yet! The last time I was on one of these, it took about 45 mins to an hour to get everyone through the kitchen.

And if you happen to miss the scheduled galley tour, just talk with your waiter in the dining room. They can often request a private galley tour for you if they have the time. We have had this done before on Princess.
