Caribbean Princess Obstructed Rooms/Connecting Cabins

What exactly does Obstructed Rooms mean? It seems like an entire deck on the CP has obstructed rooms. Is that the deck where the lifeboats are?

Also why are there no connecting cabins?

If the Caribbean Princess is like the Grand, one deck will have mostly obstructed view due to the lifeboats. On the Grand, this deck is the Emerald deck. I am not sure which deck it is on the Caribbean.

obstructed views usually means the life boats will be hanging by your window. You can still see out your window as long as you are in a "partially obstructed view" stateroom.
