Default excursions in the Mexican Riviera

Wondering about any good excursions here. Any to not be missed and Wondering if it is wise to set up excursions that are not offered by cruise line and how to do this?

What we did was to get offi the ship and if you are interested in just taking a tour get a cab they show you around and it is much cheaper they a ship tour.

While in Puerta Vallarta, we took the Tequilla Factories Tour. While I don't remember exactly how much we paid (booked through the cruiseline), I remember it being very reasonable. As you could imagine, the group that went on this tour was fun! The tequilla education and the samplings made for an enjoyable time. The tour also included some beach time in the resort area, and a free cocktail at the beach.

PV is also a great wlaking tour place downtown -- cathedral, malecon and the Rio Cuale area. In Cabo, try the glass bottom boat ride around Los Arcos -- $12 a person.
