Default Supplies Needed

I keep on reading notes about stopping at Grocery stores to get supplies for the cruise. What supplies are some of you needing? The only thing I can think of would be soda. I plan on bringing some "Crystal Lite" along. I am packing a 2 Qt. container to bring.
We are on the Golden, April 3rd sailing.

We took a collapsable cooler. We would order a sandwich from room service the night before port, keep it in the fridge then pack to cooler. It gave us a good picnic lunch whereever we were.

The only items we brought on board were 2 bottles of wine and 1 bottle of champagne. (purchased at Publix on 17th Street in FLL). Tap water was good enough for us, and we're not soda drinkers. You can get cheese and crackers/bread in the Horizon Court, as well as other munchies, so I wouldn't bother buying them in port unless there's something you can't live without.

Water is the big item, especially if you're going to a port with questionable water. Onboard it's almost $3 for a small bottle and in the grocery store you can get it for .77c. On the other hand you can buy water in all ports, just make sure the top seal has not been broken.

its basically a "just in case" you forgot something- you can go to the grocery store and pick it up. The Publix market is on17th Street - basically across the street from the Embassy Suites Hotel and about 10 minutes from the cruise pier

Does Princess offer a card where you pay about $25 and get unlimited soda? If so, is bottled water included in that? If not, how much do sodas run? (I'm not talking about meal times...rather, snack times.)

Yes Princess does have a soda card for fountain soda. Otherwise it is 1.75 a can.
Water is not included as one of the soda card options.

Alot of people need to have their bottled water, me I do it for the Pepsi and maybe a bottle of wine, that's about it. None of the cruise lines have Pepsi.

I drink alot of water but always bring a sports bottle, fill it with half ice and tap water, I'm good to go. I rarely spend money on water.
