balcony rooms

Help.... Does any one know if there is a secure way to lock your balcony door so that a 5 yr old can't open it?? My friend will be cruising with us on the Sapphire in Oct and she is wondering if she should get a balcony room, like us or just stick to a regular room. Thanks!

I don't know about the Sapphire ship but I have been on the Golden and Grand in a mini suite. Both times there was a lock on the balcony door. I would imagine all the balconies have locks on their doors. Hope this helps.

the doors have locks on them and actually they are on the heavy side. I would think it would be hard for a 5yr old to open them.
