I was just bashed by a coworker regarding the damage cruise ships are doing to the environment. It wasn't anything I hadn't already heard, I was just caught off guard now that I am actually going to be on one of these ships. I was thinking things had gotten better regarding dumping sewage etc. Anybody got any info on this issue. I'm not going to cancel our trip, but just want to be informed. Feel like my parade's been rained on
Also, my uncle was one of Canada's foremost and respected environmental scientists and before his death in January, he had been on three Alaskan cruises in the past few years. I don't think he would have gone on those cruises if he felt the environment was being irrevokably harmed.
