Default Anyone taken the Transatlantic cruise?

We are booked on the Grand Princess for May 2nd - transatlantic and would like to know what to expect as far as weather. We've always cruised during warm weather and been able to enjoy the pools etc. I'm wondering if we should bring a bunch of warm clothes or what? Can't seem to find out from anyone yet. Is anyone else going to be on this cruise?

I took a transatlantic cruise a couple of years ago. I think it left in the beginning of May also.
I was on the Royal Caribbean ship...Granduer of the Seas.
The weather during the transatlatic crossing (5 days at sea) was a little cool for sun bathing. I did try laying out several times...but most often I felt like I was tanning my goosebumps!
Most ships have protected areas from the wind...but on a cooler cruise like this...the spots are usually taken. Also most of the newer ships have covered pools that are heated...again very crowded but they do have them.
My suggestion would be to bring a light weight wind type jacket and maybe a couple of sweatshirts for the outside decks when it's cool. But...by all means bring your shorts and bathingsuit also. It seems to me the temperture at sea was anywhere from the upper 50's to the mid 70's...but you have to factor in the wind and of course whether the sun is out...that seem to make a world of difference.
As far as the land tempertures go...you can check on the weatherchannel.com website and get daily averages for all your stops.
Hope this helps

Hi, we are booked on your cruise. Can find us on interactive/meet on
board from top of home page.
Anyway have done 3 trans. Atl. cruises, loved them all. Did one like
this two years ago and was surprised that after third day got very cool.
Water temp. when down as we sailed toward Azores. Not cold but cool
upper 50's at night. Most of the temps should be from upper 50's at
night to upper 60's at day. Little warmer in Lisbon and Vigo. Think the
suggestion for windbreaker and sweatsuit a good one. Would be
prepared for rain/drizzle goretex or same type water resistant outside
layer plus small umbrellas.
We have been in Copenhagen twice, one beautiful spring day and week
later drizzle.
Looking forward to the cruise.
ps Grand has two large pool areas one covered and very nice.
