Hi , can anyone tell me what kind of doors the balcony has . We have a mimi-suite on Dolphin deck and would like to know if they stay open . Are they sliding doors or are they on a hinge. Thanks rjsmom

they are heavy sliders, and they stay open until you close them

I've stayed on the Dolphin Deck in a mini-suite and the rooms are fantastic. They have a closet of 4-5 shelves with a glass door. They then have a smaller closet with a safe for even more clothes. The bathroom is a great size. The couch pulls out to be a bed. So all you have to do is move the coffee table. There are also a chair or two and the balcony deck is very large. There were two chairs, an end table, and a lounge chair on the deck. The only negative is that there are no balconies that you look down on but you look up and everyone can see in to your balcony. It's not that bad, it just is when you want to be private. The partitions on either size are either 7 or 8 feet tall. I'm 6' 5" and I never could see over.

It is a great, great room. You will definitely enjoy it

We are going cheap - inside cabin, next March. Princess website and book do not show any floor plan. How small are the rooms? We travelled the Dawn last year in Alaska - room was adequate. We hardly spent any time there.
Thanks for any comments.

Had a chance to see an inside cabin on the Aloha deck on the Golden. I was very surprised by the size of the room. It was very nice and my husband really liked it. The closets had doors unlike the balcony room on the Aloha deck. It had a counter seperating the room from the bathroom which was a great idea. We liked the room and would consider chosing one in the future.

The Aloha Balcony cabins are huge, at least ours was. It was A-303. It really spoiled my husband! On hindsight, we discovered that it may have been a handicap room because of its size and the size of the bathroom. It was a major upgrade for us from the lower inside of the ship-like on the Plaza Deck-up to the Aloha, outside, with a balcony. The balcony cabins on the Grand seemed much smaller in comparison.Every time we saw the Golden in port-the last time was in December 2003 in Ft. Lauderdale-I pointed at her and pointed out "our" cabin. I would book that cabin again if I could get away with it for the price of our low, inside cabin!!! Lynne

How are the cabins on the EDeck, specifically E501?

Does Princess have priority check-in at the port for Suite guests? Also what category suite is considered a "Suite ammenities" category? Thanks, Carol

Carol,
As I understand it, the Suite Amenities are for the full size suites, not Mini Suites, like we have. I'm so glad to find another fellow cruiser on this sailing. Check out my website (listed in my signature) for this cruise. I'm compiling a list of us all so we can meet onboard, I'll send you an e-mail seperately, in a bit.
