Default Diamond MiniSuite Emerald Deck

I just booked the Diamond for 25Sep to Mexico and have been assigned E716 (category AD, Emerald Deck). Could anyone tell me the good, bad and ugly about this cabin. Is the balcony private and is there any noise from public rooms? Hopefully it's all good.
Thanks much.

Just got back from the Diamond's last Mexico run of the season (4/24 - 5/1) and had E729 and E731. They were WONDERFUL !!! The balconies are COMPLETELY private as there is nobody below you to look up at you and nobody above you can see down as the Dolphin deck balconies are the covering over the Emerald deck balconies. There is NO noise from Club Fusion below. You will LOVE that location -- have a great trip!!!

Dear LK, Thank you for the information about your Diamond trip. We were able to obtain E728 on the Sapphire for this Oct.. Were you able to take any photo's of the balcony size and views. Did you have both a partial aft and standard side view? I enjoyed your comments. Judy

Judy,

I do not have any photos but there is a really good one on the photo galleries on the cruise-addicts.com site. If you look under photo galleries and go down a ways, there will be one simply called "Diamond Princess" and when you open it there are only about 9 photos in it all of the exterior of the Diamond. The person who posted the photos is John Pegueros, so look at the bottom to see if you're in the right gallery. Anyway, there is a photo on the bottom row center and it is of the back of the ship and you can see that the lowest and last balcony on the starboard side of the ship is E731. Click on that photo to enlarge it so you can really see it well. The balcony has the regular standard mini-suite balcony with the blue glass under the railing and then there is a pie-shaped piece that is all metal so you can't see thru it and it just sort of circles around to meet the side of the ship. That gives you a lot of extra room -- almost twice as much as the regular balcony. It is 100% private and you can see not only to the side, but you can see to the back as well. As I mentioned before, there is no noise at all from the Club Fusion below and in fact, we left our balcony door open at night to hear the wake -- you are so close to the water that you can hear it really well. We spent a lot of time on the balcony and saw hundreds of dolphin on one particular day. It was wonderful -- you'll love it!
