You can use a debit card, but as someone stated above, a credit card is disbutable, which a debit card may not be. While some banks treat debit cards with CC logos such as Master Card and VISA almost the same as credit cards, meaning if lost or stolen you will not be charged for the amounts charged, some debit card companies do not have that policy and if your bank account gets wiped out, your money is gone.
I would only use a credit card. Many people don't like the idea of a credit card. But, if you only have one and only use it for this purpose, you can take the money from your bank account/debit account and pay it off right away, as you would have had the money immediately anyway with the debit card.
