I am sure that this question has already been asked, but I am curious to know what sites you watch for cruise fare reductions. We booked our late January 2005 Coral Princess cruise last January. Are there certain times when fares are reduced? If and when they are reduced, is the reduced fare something that stays reduced or does it fluctuate depending on when you check the sites? Lastly, would all the "cruise sites" post the same fares for each category or could they be different depending on the site that you checked? Thanks in advance for your help.
You need to keep track of pricing trends YOURSELF. Compare several online sites- all will offer different prices. Post an ad on this sites- shopping page. If you are going after New Year's you have the potential for some low rates. BUT you need to consider several factors- did you book so early because you had to have a specific cabin or catagory? You will have the best bargain opportunities if you are flexable. When you see a drop, same cat. /date. Immediately contact your booking agent and request an adjustment, be willing to cancel and rebook if needed- again flexability. BUT all this much be before final payment- so be especially agressive in your search a week or so before final paymant.
