Billy, usually the mini suites are larger and the balcony longer. If cost is not very different then go for the suite but otherwise the balcony rooms are great.

The bathroom will be much nicer in a suite also.

The mini suite is about 100 square feet bigger or so, with full bath (no shower), and a larger sitting area and closet area. Also, the way the decks are built is "wedding cake" fashion. This means that the mini suites, which are at the lower end of the "cake" have balconies that are exposed from above. People can look down on you. I've had balconies a few different trimes, and min-suites twice. I would opt for the mini suite since it is bigger and my experience has been that the people on the balconies above don't spend time looking down at you, so I wouldn't worry about that personally.

Hi there! I will also be on the Caribbean Princess on the 10/16 sailing with my husband. We're very excited. Some of my research led me to upgrade our original Cat BC balcony cabin to a BA category so we could get a balcony on the Caribe deck where the balconies are larger than most decks "above" but still not as big as the mini-suite balconies (mini-suites would be great but was more than we wanted to spend).
