Don't know about the Milano but you might try Priceline. I got the Wyndham in OSJ for $65! Alos at Xmas I used Priceline for SJ and got the Park Plaza Normandie for $90. It was nice but nothing spectacular.
Haven't stayed there yet. It is post-cruise 7/11. I wanted it because it was where I thouht the Golden was to be berthed but they have changed the pier to the Pan American pier but that is ok with me. You still can see ships right there. I have also read good things about the Wyndham. And a casino doesn't hurt! They do have a restaurant. And it is in OSJ which I want to see more of. Go to the Wyndham site and check it out.
I stayed at the Milano Hotel two years ago and I'm booked there again this fall. It's located right in the heart of Old San Juan on the free trolley line that goes all over the old city. It's within walking distance of the waterfront and shopping, restaurants and entertainment places are everywhere around the hotel. There is also a rooftop restaurant in the hotel. Jero, did you say you live near San Juan? I am going back to San Juan after a two year absence and I like to travel around on the local buses. I know they have "A" buses for major routes, "B" buses for secondary routes and "C" buses which run less often. As I remember, there isn't any published route maps, but the routes are listed on the bus stops. I was wondering if you knew the route letter and number of the bus that leaves Old San Juan on Carr 1and crosses over the bay where it splits with Carr 35 by Calle Linbergh by the old Isla Grande airport. I need to go San Juan Bay Marina which is close to the Pan American pier. I could find out that information when I get there, but If you have that route information, I would appreciate the information. Thanks
