Default A Little Help!

I just joined the site -- going on the Star Princess, Western Caribbean, Thanksgiving week -- and, for some reason, the site won't let me edit my profile. It keeps saying I'm not logged in or that it's not my profile. Well, I am logged in and it is my profile (or I wouldn't be posting this).

I want to put one of those cool countdown clock thingys on my sig line, but I can't! Help me, please!

Hi Agcruiser,
You will also need to make your profile in order to get a countdown clock working, so once you login, click on "my profile" and fill it out, that should work, then follow the directions for putting in a clock.

You don't have to add the countdown clock to your profile. The link to it is found at the bottom of the screen when you are typing a message under "Message Board Tricks." You click on Message Board Tricks and then you highlight and copy the link. Then just hit your back button and go back to your pending message. It is defaulted to feb 22, 2004. Once you paste it to your message you change the dates to the dates on your cruise and hit Post.

The problem is, when I'm logged in (like right now) it still won't let me edit my profile (I want to add it to my signature) because it says I'm not logged in or the profile is not mine. It also shows that I've made 0 posts . . . this is my second. Oh, and I'm randomly logged in or out when I change boards (e.g., Cruise Line to Practical Advice).

Until I can add a signature, I'll do it manually . . .

Hi Ag,
I don't see a profile for you? If you had a profile, when I click on your name it should show it and not an e-mail?? May-be try making a new profile with a different name and see if you can log in and then edit profile, worth a try.

You may want to read through here to get more info on making a profile and logging in:

Adding a Profile

Just let us know if you have more problems, OK?

Hi Ag I think Donna is right, try starting over and then when you go to your profile make sure you click Edit Profile above your User Name and then add your clock info to your signature.

Also, make sure you have the newest Edit Profile page at the end. I got into trouble when all the pages weren't the same. That's why I kept going back to the beginning and retracing my steps.Every change or every try will give you a page, and your clock will only show when you have one, right page. Sounds complicated, but it's almost like detective work-or-troubleshooting. We're all pulling for you AgCruiser!! Lynne
