I really want bottled water only. Do they furnish this or is it available for purchase? Covererd on the soda card, maybe? I hate soda, so I'd never use it for that.
I also do not drink soda at all..just water and coffee in the morning. I am planning on bringing a few gallons of bottled water with me and a few smaller ones to carry around with me. Someone wrote that the water out of the faucet is better than bottled water. But I never tried it on previous cruises. Bottles water to buy is very expensive on the ships..

Yes the bottled water on board is expensive. I took two bottles with me. I found the tap water on the Dawn quite acceptable for drinking. I carried one ashore with me and kept the other one filled in the fridge so that when I came back there was also a refeshing drink waiting in my cabin.
I cant understand anyone wanting to pack two gallons of water (16lbs) to save a buck or two on the ship. I don't know if you are planning on flying to the ship, Connie, or are you nearby with ready access to the ship? What I would do is buy one or two bottles of water on the ship, then keep the empties to refill from the tap. When they wear out, splurge and buy another.
Lancet - It wasn't me that planned on bringing two gallons of water on board.
I already have too much luggage, and know I could never talk my husband in to that.
My apologies!!! It was Sue. Hope she reconsiders her idea.
I grumble at my wife, and we take carry-on luggage only: one piece each, plus personal small bag. We always travel light, so we dont have to check our luggage. Makes for quick exit, or quit trip through customs (which more than once meant the difference in making our flight connection or missing it)
Sorry for the mistake. Better get a new prescription for my glasses lol.
NO the soda card does not cover bottled water --the water on Princess is very good, the purification process makes it taste better than most bottled water. By a couple small bottles of water (1 liter size or so) in port before your embark, put them in the fridge, fill them from the tap when they are empty, chill the water, see how it tastes to you. If you don't like it then when in your next port, splurge and by a couple more bottles.
Gallons of bottled water are very heavy and would take up a lot of room in your carry-on luggag, i can't imagine lugging water around.
