Default gambling age

My Family and I are on the Golden in August, we are five adults. Myself and husband, Sister-in-law, Mother-in-law and my nephew. My nephew will be 21 in January, he is 6'7" and looks his age only. Do you think he;'ll be allowed in the casino with us. Any answers will be appreciated. Thanks, Carol

This is a copy of Princess gambling policy.

Underage passengers are not allowed to be in any gaming areas, except to pass through if the casino is located in a thoroughfare. Because bingo is typically played in a public area outside of the casino, passengers under the age of 21 years may attend the game if they are accompanied by an adult 21 years or older, but they may not purchase or actively play a bingo ticket, nor may they claim a prize.

I doubt anyone would question his age, even if he was playing a slot machine, since he's 6'7" and that close to 21. But, like billy said, if he did win big (small odds of that), they can refuse to pay him.

We were on the Grand last year and never saw anyone ask someone's age. Other than the dealers, I never really saw any employee walking around the slot machines. Now, playing at a table (cards or craps) would be a different story. They might question him.

Thanks everyone thats exactly what i was hoping. we'll take our chances( slots only). And he'll always be next to one of us ,so if he does WIN THAT BIG ONE, we'll just have to switch machines. Thanks again, Carol

I had no trouble playing Blackjack on either Carnival or Princess ships starting at age 18. Even though I was 3 years underage (and I didn't look old for my age), nobody ever questioned me. In fact, I would play so often that by the end of the cruise most pit bosses and dealers would know me by name. I never played slots, so I don't know what would have happened had a won a BIG jackpot, but I did win over $1,000 at the Blackjack table without a problem.

I think a big part of whether he will be questioned is his attitude. If he acts nervous, he might have a problem, but otherwise I think he will be fine.

luv2cruise99, thanks for the feedback, i don't think my nephew will be at any tables. I do think he'll want to be in the casino only when we are. We only play the slots, and don't plan on spending our fortune there. I'm hoping they just ignore him because of his size and the fact that he'll be with us. Thanks , Carol
