Default flight deals

We're going on the Golden Princess in January, but have not booked flights yet (departing from San Juan). Any experienced cruisers have any advice on where to get the best flight deals from (Milwaukee, WI) or how early in advance we should be sure to get them?

We live in Milwaukee, too. When we took a cruise out of San Juan, our travel agent got us a good price on a non-stop flight from O'Hare. We're usually willing to drive to O'Hare (just one more hour for us than going to Mitchell) to fly non-stop.

Hi Scooby,
I think you'll find the flights to San Juan expensive almost all the time. WE also fly into San Juan from O'hare and expect to pay around $500....start checking the major airlines daily and hopefully you'll find a good deal. I already booked flights to Ft. Lauderdale for Jan from O'hare on AA and got them for 174 each, good times and direct with no stops, although our return flight is at 11:25, hopefully I won't have a problem. We get there before 11:00AM and ship sails at 5:00, so if weather cooperates, we should be fine there too.

Best of luck and happy cruising!

We are doing a So. Caribbean itinerary for Thanksgiving on the Constellation. We are flying from Portland, Oregon to San Juan on a holiday week. We paid $486 R.T. We used "My Q.I.X.O." and this was a pretty good rate considering the distance we have to travel. Your fare should be a bit less. You'll probably want to fly out of Chicago or perhaps Newark or Atlanta, if you don't mind changing planes

You may want to do a Q.I.X.O. search and see what kinds of deals come up and then keep watching the fares.
