Default mexican riviera excursions

Hi All. I cant wait to get on the Sapphire and go to Mexico in Oct. I'm hitting Cabo San Lucas, Mazatlan,PuertoVallarta, Catalina Island. Can any one recomend some excursions? I'm snorkleing for sure. My wife want's to go to a resort and sit on the beach and play with water toys, any ideas with this? Are there resorts close to the pier that you can arrange this with and not book through the ship? There are 2 of these excursions in P.V. are they worth it? Is there anything to do on Catalina Island?

the best snorkeling is in Cabo. do not bother going in maz or pv. we did stone island in mazatlan and beach excursion in PV. we are going again in NOV on diam ond princess and will probably do other things, there is canopy thing in PV for the adventurous and randis happy horses in Maz. check out cruisecritic.com ports of call section for lots of ideas and discussions.

We liked Las Caletas in PV so much we went back a second time. While it is not quite a resort, it is "almost all inclusive" and very nice. If you have quesions, let me know.

When you went to Las Caletas, did you book an excursion or take a taxi there?
Is it far from the downtown area? What is there? I have heard that it is a nice beach...anything else? Thanks!
