Budget - at Ft. Lauderdale Airport

Hi everyone!

Looking for some information on renting a car from Budget at the Ft. Lauderdale Airport.

1. How do you get from the airport to their location on Taylor Road?

2. Are there luggage carts to rent at the airport for your luggage near the baggage claim area so I can move the luggage to the street without breaking my back before the cruise?

3. When I drop off the car at Budget - Do they have a service to take me back to the Port Everglades terminal or do I have to take a cab??

We are renting a Budget car at the airport the day before our cruise. I was under the impression we could pick the rental car up at the airport so we wouldn't need to worry about looking for baggage carts or a cab at the airport. We are staying at a hotel across the street from the Taylor Road Budget and dropping the car off in the morning before going to the cruise terminal. There is no extra charge to drop the car off there. We don't know yet whether we can get dropped off by Budget at the cruise terminal or if we need to take a cab. I don't think a cab is very expensive anyway.

The closese Budget location to Port Everglades is the one on the 17th St causeway. It's location code F07 - they also have a free shuttle to the port.

Have used it many times. They're a great group of guys that work at that location!

One other thing - there is no additional charge for car rentals in Florida that are one-way. So you can pick-up at one location (say MIA or FLL) and drop off at another (say F07) without incurring any addition drop-off charge.

It's a good thing!
