If you take any of the rain forest type trips in Costa Rica, would definitely be a good idea.

Yes! I would recommend wearing a spray on your bod that contains DEET! There are lots of the little buggers in the tropics. You don't want to be itching and scratching on your vacation. Note: The bugs love sweat, and sweat you will. You are going to love the cruise.

Default Mosquito repellent needed? Sting ease?

Does anyone know of a "stink ease" type of product to use after your stung and where to get it? I went to Sav on and they didn't know about it but had 100% DEET OFF spray.

We did a Panama Canal crossing in April. Definitely needed repellent in Costa Rica but never used it anywhere else! You will have a ball!!!

Never cruised through the canal, but actually stayed at a resort on the canal for a few days. THe bugs were not as bad as I had imagined they might be in the rainforest. (except for the humongous spider in our room!!!) ANyway, I am usually the forst one to get bit, and I fared much better than on camping trips up north!

Shoot you will need that when you come here to FL too! Not sure when you are going to be arriving, but if is near daybreak or sunset the mosquitos will carry you away!
