satellite phone rentals for panama cruise

Does anyone have a recomendation on renting a sataellite phone for the San Fran to Fort Lauderdale trip next week. We don't want to pat the $7.00 per minute by using the room phone...

I just looked into those satellite phone rentals. Nice idea but do I really want a phone call while im snorkeling in the caribbean? The prices are rather high..It would be at least $150 with the rental and calls. I wouold rather pay for a minute or two or cruise phone charges . Good idea though.

Thanks for the info, does anyone else have thoughts on costs and use on the Panama
cruise. What are the differences and costs. Other services??
