Default Princess Cays

I'm wondering if anyone has gotten good information from Princess about the Princess Cays island. I've only read the rumors, but it seems that they are no longer cruising there. We are leaving on October 2nd and are supposed stop at Princess Cays Any info would be great!

If you go on the Princess web site you will find a hurrricane update. There they have any changes that are taking place on the cruises for that particular week. They have change the itinerary for the Princess Carribbean this week from an Eastern Cruise to a western cruise with no mention of a stop at Princess Cay. Instead they have Naussa listed. Sure hope they can restore Princess Cay by the October 23 sailling. That's when we are going!!! Can't wait. Hope this helps.

Hi Kelly,
This is the latest hurricane update I found on the Princess site:

9/20/2004

Hurricane Update

September 20, 2004 -- Updated 10:00 am PDT
Princess Cruises is closely monitoring the current and projected path of Hurricane Jeanne in order to ensure the safety and comfort of our passengers and crew, which is always our foremost priority. The following is an update of Princess' sailings in the region.

Caribbean Princess Voyage B439

To avoid the projected path of Hurricane Jeanne, Caribbean Princess' current voyage was changed to a Western Caribbean itinerary in place of the scheduled Eastern Caribbean route. The itinerary is:
Port Date Arrival Departure
Port Everglades Sat 18 Sep 5 pm
At Sea Sun 19 Sep
Cozumel Mon 20 Sep 7 am 6 pm
At Sea Tues 21 Sep
Ocho Rios Wed 22 Sep 7 am 5 pm
At Sea Thurs 23 Sep
Nassau Fri 24 Sep 8 am 6:30 pm
Port Everglades Sat 25 Sep 7 am

We are continuing to closely monitor weather in the region and will post any updates to this information on our web site, www.princess.com.

I don't see any mention of their private island, but keep checking and hopefully, you'll find some information before you cruise.

According to Cruise News Daily on 9/15 - there is more damage to Princess Cays than Princess originally thought, but they ARE repairing it......instead of two weeks, it will be six weeks or maybe longer before Princess Cays is ready again for guests.
