I will be cruising March 05 on the Diamond Princess going to Mexico. I have cruised throughout the Caribbean and my question is: How is the Pacific Ocean compared to the Atlantic and the waters in the Caribbean. Should I be expecting a rough cruise? Is the water as blue as in the Caribbean? Anyone know?
Location: Wisconsin....about 100 miles south of the Frozen Tundra and 70 miles east of Camp Randall

Re: comparing cruise waters
The water is different in the Pacific.....it is cooler, it is a different shade of blue, but still beautiful. You will probably have a rougher ride going back north from Cabo back to LA going against the major current that runs along the coast.

The cruise from Los Angeles to just north of Cabo will be much cooler than Carribean. Sweater weather out on deck. After Cabo it warms up and similiar to Carribean. The water can be rougher and there is a stretch along the Baja Peninsula that generally has heavy winds. Makes for fun walking the exercise walk. Mostly water vistas , but still a good cruise overall.
Have fun and if possible take one that goes south of Cabo
