Balcony Doors
Hello---
I am sialing the Sun on Dec 12th and have been booked in a balcony on the Aloha Deck. Question: Will the baloncy doors stay open on their own, or should I bring a bungie cord to keep them open. Also, will the air conditioner automatically shut off once the door is open? Thank you for your replies. |
Re: Balcony Doors
Doors are sliding doors and will stay open. What ever you have your temp set in your room the air will stay on until it is reached.

Re: Balcony Doors
The air conditioning does not shut off when the doors are open, like it does in some hotels when the doors are open. Keep in mind, after your door's open for a few minutes, the room does warm up considerably and will take some time to re-cool. We had our door open for about five minutes, and every mirror and piece of glass in the room steamed up and it fealt like a jungle in our room.

Re: Balcony Doors
the sliders are very heavy, it took me two hands to get them open, once open they stay open all the way. If you only want them partially open then you should bring the bungee cords.

Re: Balcony Doors
Why use a bungee cord? All the stateroom attendants I have ever seen use door wedges to hold the cabin doors open while they are working so why not use one of them? Takes up a lot less room. Paul
