My wife and I just booked the Feb 18th 2005 Dawn Yesterday and are really looking forward our first Princess cruise (16th cruise, but no other Princess cruises).. Have you sailed Princess before ?? What your impression of PC dining ?..
Glad to see you join the princess family. Any questions you have, we would be glad to answer. PC dining. People love the flexability. Early or late, then ever you want to dine you can. The down side is if you are traveling in a group, which we are it may take awhile to get seated. You dont have the same wait staff each night, which we like, and you never know where in the dining room you will be seated, but thats no big deal. We enjoy traditional dining and the late seating. It gives us more time in port and allows for a later lunch. I hope you enjoy The Dawn as much as we have.
See ya on deck...
Its time to bump this up to the top. I know we have heard a ton of negitive reviews on the Dawn on recent post. But I like the review that called cruising " different degrees of wonderful" Now lets hear "who" is going on this winderful ship with me. We only have like 32 days till we depart. I want to know you before we meet on deck.
Have a wonderful cruise! I wish I could say I were going as well. I was on the Dawn 12/03/04 and had a wonderful cruise. To read all these negative comments blows my mind!
Yes, perhaps we were sailing at a slower speed to "break in" the new parts/repairs, but I thoroughly enjoyed the calm smooth sailing. In 5 previous cruises (Celebrity), I've never experienced such smooth sailing.
The crew was great too. Especially the bar manager named Mait in Magnums. He makes the best martinis and eager to recommend and mix to suit your tastes. Truly an awesome guy.
Do me a favor, Chuck, if you are a martini drinker...visit Mait and tell him his friends from Ohio send a warm hello.
Don't worry about the negatives, you'll have a wonderful time. Enjoy the great weather of the Caribbean.
Belgique checking in for the 2/18 Dawn cruise. Look for a wedding party of 11 on sailing day - not sure what time the actual ceremony is. My friend Amy is the bride and I'll be the big blonde "of a certain age".
Think you might be fishing with Amy's dad, Vic, somewhere.
Pop into the group if you see us and ask for "Belgique".
Srpilo - welcome to Mates - hope to meet you onboard!
We need to have some kind of code so we can all find each other - like the red yarn on luggage or something.
Anyone have any ideas? I shouldn't be too hard to find the first day because I'll be with the wedding party of 11. I understand there is only one wedding that day so the bride won't be difficult to spot.
