We are a couple in our 70s/80s who cannot do much walking. We have always taken the ship excursions, and are planning to do the same on this cruise. Never having been to these 3 islands, we'd appreciate some recommenations. We're also keeping private cabs in mind, so would appreciate any thoughts on those as well.
Thank you kjwitty!
It's one of the things we're considering. Can you tell me how much the cab was? Does the tram return you to the place it started? Will the cab wait? Did the driver take you anywhere else?
We too took a cab to the caves, and yes he did wait for us, then we had him drop us off at the beach. We ended up just walking back to the pier from there, but I'm sure you can get another cab.
Re: Re: Re: St. Kitts, Barbados, & Antigua Excursions
My mother and I are going to Barbados and she is also unable to do too much walking. We are doing a customized tour with Boyce Tours. They have a website with contact info. I read good things about them on another cruise board. Boyce has put together a great itinerary for us that does not require a lot of walking or stairs.
The whole day, plus lunch plus admissions to one of the Plantation Houses and Harrison Caves is around $85.
It was less than the ship's all day excursion and a much better fit for what we want to do.
