Default Disembarkation in Ft. Lauderdale

The schedule for the Star Princess calls for her return to Ft. Lauderdale at 7:00 am. I'm arranging air for an up-coming trip and would like to know from past passengers what time the last group left the ship. Thanks for your help.

We just returned on the Coral on Monday the 18th, The ship arrived at 6:30 . We were the only ship. They did not start the off loading until 8- 8:15. We had a 2pm flight
we didn't get off til 9:30 then waited for the customs etc and then the bus to the airport. Although we had to wait at the airport gate in Fort Lauderdale for about an hour the 2pm flight was just right. The airport was a mess for a Monday. The lines to check the bags and then the security check point (60min total) Be sure to allow enough of time for all that. Remember we had one ship on a Monday, what must a weekend day with multiple ships be like... It was also HOT and MUGGY at the ship, in the terminal and in the airport. Kind of a WARM welcome after a fabulous trip..

You can work your disembarkation around your flight time. Try not to book your flight before 11:15-11:30. If you get a flight around this time, just go to the purser's desk and ask for luggage tags that will get you off the ship in one of the first two groups. Be sure to let them know what time your flight is scheduled for and you should have no problems. We have been doing this for three years for seven cruises and never had any trouble. Enjoy your cruise. Joe & Amelia
