Default Princess shore excursions - Limon - which one?

We are going on the Coral Princess Panama cruise in early March and can't decide whether to do the Rain Forest Jitney Ride and Skywalk or the Rain Forest Aerial Tram. We've read several very good reviews of the aerial tram, although it doesn't sound as if you see a lot of wildlife, but we haven't seen any reviews of the jitney ride and skywalk. One of our party is elderly and we don't know whether the skywalk would be too long or steep for him. Can anyone advise please?

Last year we did your itinerary on the Island Princess your sister ship. What a wonderful cruise. We went the end of March. In Limon we took a Pontoon Boat trip excursion and saw several monkeys, sloths, shorebirds, crocodiles, etc. Also learned alot about the banana plantations. Well worth it.

In Panama, we tried the Gondola Canapy ride and didn't see any animals. We enjoyed it though.

Have fun.

Thanks for your reply Judi. The pontoon boat sounds good. I think we have decided to do the Costa Rica's Favourites tour which takes in the Aerial Tram and the Tortuguero Canal boat trip, so we should at least see some wildlife on that. There are quite a few excursions that we liked the look of in Limon so it was a difficult decision!

Have had no feedback on the Jitney Ride and Skywalk so probably better to stick to something we have read good reviews of and which we think will be ok for our elderly party member.

What was the weather like during your cruise (as you went about the same time of year) and did you have calm seas?

Thanks again

When in early March are you on the Coral? We're on the March 8th sailing.

We are on the 8th March sailing too although we are actually leaving England on the 5th and having a 3 day break before sailing.

Is this your first cruise or if not, have you done this one before? We are wondering whether we can expect some lovely hot weather and calm seas! This is our first cruise but the other members of our party have done the Alaska cruise on the Island Princess.

Have you decided on your excursions yet? Still no wiser about the jitney ride and skywalk.

Only 6 weeks to go!

Welcome to a fellow Coral 3/8 cruiser! How many are in your party? We too are trying to decide about shore excursions - considering the Rain Forest Jitney Ride and Skywalk in Limon and the Chagres River Cruise& Walk in Panama - Does anyone have info. on these? Can anyone recommend good vendors for these or other shore excursions? I've found that sometimes outside vendors can give a more personalized tour/excursion - any info. would be appreciated!

There are five in our party. We've provisionally booked the Costa Rica Favourites tour with Princess as we wanted to do both the Aerial Tram and the Tortuguero Canal boat trip in Limon. Still no feedback on the jitney ride and skywalk so thought this the best option, bearing in mind that one of our party is elderly.

In Panama we have opted for the Ocean to Ocean trip. Not sure about Grand Cayman - would have liked to do the Island Highlights and Stingray Snorkel but are not sure whether excursions to Grand Cayman have resumed yet following the devastation caused by last year's hurricanes. In Belize we've booked for the Jungle River Tubing but again, due to the age of one of us, not sure whether this would be suitable, i.e. how easy to get in and out of tubes etc. Probably do Cozumel Semi Sub and maybe Shore Snorkel but this may change if we decide we are overdoing it!

Have read lots of messages by people that have taken tours with outside vendors which certainly seem a lot cheaper but for convenience and peace of mind, will probably stick to Princess excursions.
