Someone who has sailed on the Island Princess -- I notice no aft balcony cabins, but I do see what appears to be doors on the aft portion of each floor plan. Is this an open balcony for public use? Thanks for any help someone can give me!
Hi Margie,
I have not YET been on the Island, but I did read somewhere that there are public decks aft. Someone was writing that they loved their aft cabin, no balcony, because they could just step outside aft, and it was like having a wonderful balcony. I wish someone would post that HAS been on this ship, or the Coral............
Thanks so much for your input. It looks just like what you describe on the deck plan but I have never seen a ship laid out like that! Think that's what I'll go for.
The balcony at the rear of the ship is for public use. We were on Caribe deck and there are about 15 sunloungers situated there. Only on or two of the other decks have sunloungers and these areas are brilliant when the sun comes around. The only problem I found was that the are very very noisy but only with the water churning up behind the ship. Our friends had the inside cabin just behind this back door & absolutely loved it as they could get up in the morning, walk 6 feet & they were on their own personal "huge" balcony.
