leaving 2/05 grand Princess

Am leaving Feb. 5 on the grand princess on a wesstrn carb. cruise . this is our first cruise ever. We spent the money for a blacony, just wondering if we wasted it and how chilly the nights are on board. think i have packed way too much . just like some advice on what to pack and what to expect (besides lots of fun) there are 8 of us going . Anyone out there on this cruise ?

Hi, Chilidog. I live in Houston and have sailed out of Galveston numerous times to the Western Caribbean. You may be chilly the first day out, but after that get your sunscreen ready. Your balcony will definitely not be wasted. Pack casual clothes, and really not that many. You can expect to wear shorts and/or swimsuits in the ports, and dinner is not dressy (except for formal nights). What to expect? Your cruise will be what you want it to be. You can be one of the partiers by the pool at sailaway or you can be exploring the ship and finding the spots you like. This is truly a vacation where you make it be whatever you want it to be. You will have a great time, good luck!
