Default driving/rentals in California

I am in need of some help.
I will be cruising on the Diamond Princess 3/19. I am flying into LAX 2 days earlier and would like some info on renting a car.
Can anyone tell me where the best place to rent a car might be? Are there any car rental places that will shuttle me to San Pedro pier? Any help

If you are coming two days early, where are you staying? You can rent a car and it will take you anywhere you want to go. A rental car will not take you to the ship, unless you want to leave the car there. I guess if you want to take the rental car to the ship two days before you leave, you will be sleeping in your car. Just a joke, I hope I can help with info.

Hi there...

You might want to find out if your hotel has a rental car agency on site. Some hotels do offer that service (the Sheraton Los Angeles Harbor Hotel near San Pedro Harbour). I would highly recommend that you consult with a travel agent before you get into LAX about reserving a rental car. There are scads of rental car agencies around LAX. Make sure that you book a car before you get into the L.A. area. It would be terrible if you get to LA, and there were no cars available for the dates that you're in town. If the hotel that you're staying at doesn't have a shuttle service to the pier, then, you would probably have to drop your rental car off at an agency (Long Beach Airport would have car rental agencies as well)...then take a cab to the pier...

I would speak to travel agent about that one. Great question. Good luck, and have a great time!

HI there...

I think it took me a little over a half hour to get from the airport to the pier because of that famous L.A. traffic.
