Default RENT A CAR: Grand Cayman?

Have any of you ever rented a car in grand cayman? We were thinking of going off on our own for the day, but we do have some concerns? Are there any rental places right when you get off the boat or should we make a reservation ahead of time? Also, what is there to do here and is it some what easy to find your way around? Any advice would be great, thanks!!!

Aly - Caymen is a very small, flat island, not a whole lot to see. The thing to do in Caymen is to swim with the Sting Rays - don't miss out on this adventure. Its amazing. Book a tour in advance with a local tour operator - lots to choose from. We have used Captain Marvin and loved it. They book up fast.

there are several car rentals at the airport. In grand Cayman driving is on the left hand side of the road. Grand Cayman is our favorite island and go often. I agree with the other person if you haven't been to stingray its a must. I have been out there three times and is a great excursion, If you deside to drive the island pretty much makes a circle and is very easy to get around. There is HELL, a turtle farm and the siteseeing along seven mile beach which has the condo's and hotels. There will also be people to take you around the island. The ship will disenbark right at downtown so is nice to walk around a little and visit some of the downtown shops. If you deside on stringray city sign up because it goes fast. My first trip the boat with about a 100 people highcentered on a reef. We held up the ships departure for over 4 hours until we got loose. Was the most fun of any excursion I'v been on and as a result we wern't charged for it. Anyway have a great time you will love Grand Cayman.
