How do I get to the Cruise Terminal?

Hi

Has anyone used the Intercontinental West at Miami courtesy of Princess on the evening before a cruise. We are due to do this and are wondering whether to hand our Dollar Rental car back early and use the Princess coach to the ship terminal. Is it better to go to the Fort Lauderdale Dollar and use their courtesy bus to get to the terminal earlier?

Do Princess check you in at the hotel before travelling to the ship? - They did this for my sister when she travelled on the Island Princess last year.
