Default B2B, What's It Like???

I'm doing my first back-to-back this fall on the Sea Princess and I'm curious what happens on the day you stay onboard and everyone else leaves?

The first portion is 7 days Southampton down to Spain/Portugal/France, the second is 14 days, Transatlantic Southampton to New York.

A new experience for me, 21 days onboard plus a B2B! The longest I've cruised is 15 days but don't think 21 is a problem. I want to do longer cruises in the future so I'm sort of doing a test run!

Cruise starts Sept. 3rd I'm just about 6 mos. away and starting to think its a reality now!

Well you will get a pass that lets you off the ship while in your turn around port. You will also get a new cruise card as it is technically a different cruise you will be on. We like to spend that day doing laundry and just lazing around. Take great delight in waving good-bye to everyone who wasn't smart to book a B2B!!!! Have been on 4 B2B and will be doing another one through the Panama Canal next month.

We did a btb on the Sea Princess in 2003 just before she was turned over to P&O.
We did the southern carribean out of San Juan. The best thing about this one was the itinerary was different the second week. We did have to change rooms though because I booked the second week only 2 weeks before we were to leave.
The stewards came after the first week and moved all our stuff to our other room .
We also spent the day lounging around a bit and also did laundry. Then we were able to leave the ship after getting another cruise card and spent the afternoon walking around San Juan. Will I do another BTB? "Certainly!

Thanks for the info, I was wondering about the card, just walking off, how difficult it is!

I think it will be great, being on a 7 day cruise, knowing you have another 14 days to go!

They will give you a new cruise card when you leave the ship.
Have a great cruise.
