Default Grand Secrets

My wife & I will be sailing on Prinecss in April. This will be our 1st Princess cruise. Previuos cruises include Carnival & Royal Carib.
We were wondering if there is anyone that has been on the Grand & by the end of the cruise there were areas of the ship or other things that you wished you had learned about earlier in the cruise.

Thanks for any info.

Rick

Wheelhouse Bar - small, quiet, intimate great place to relax either before or after dinner. Music for dancing, nice leather couches to sink into.
Lotus Spa Pool - much less crowded than Neptune's Reef Pool
Really good Pizza at the outdoor pizzeria
SkyWalker's Disco is a great place to go during "off" hours, the view is amazing.

Rich, which sailing are you on? We are on the 4/16/05 transatlantic to Rome. Hope you are with us!

How about the aft areas of the ship? I know Skywalkers is rear wake viewing, but is there a deck that you can actually look right off the balcony at the wake, or are there only balcony cabins?

Did this itinerary in December, and doing it again April 2nd.

I wish I'd discovered how to get all the way around the Promenade Deck (the part that actually continues on Emerald). I never did figure out how to get up there, as the stairs were always closed when I tried. I'm determined to get up there this time!

We got up to the bow of the ship twice during our 3/5 cruise. You start on Promenade, and then there are stairs that go up to emerald and to the bow. We went usually around 11:00 or 1:00, it was always open, and this was on really windy sea days too. The kids thought it was great. About the wake, the aft adult pool is at the very back of the ship. You can look straight down to the wake.
Other secrets, roof on the calypso pool closes sometimes in the evening, so the water is warmer there. Upper deck of the calypso pool is a great spot to go sun on a windy day. No wind up there at all.
