Atlantis Sub - Cozumel or G. Cayman?
 

We are doing the W. Caribbean again and would like to try out the Atlantis Sub. We don't know which is better, the one in Cozumel or Grand Cayman. Any suggestions from people who have done both? Any comments from people who have done one or the other? How was your experience and was it worth the money? Also, who should we book with to get the best deal? Thanks!

My son did Atlantis at Cozumel and had a great time. However, from diving both places, I'd think the Grand Cayman one would have better views. Plus, there appear (as of 3 weeks ago) to be _two_ Atlantis subs in Grand Cayman.

If you search the net, you can find their web site - as I remember booking thru them saved maybe $10 or $20.

If anyone is interested, I tried to book the Atlantis sub for Apr. 13th in Grand Cayman and they said it was still under repairs due to Hurricane Ivan. They hoped to have it working sometime in May 2005.

Many people seem to like the Atlantis sub, but we didn't. We did it in Grand Cayman. It goes so deep that you don't see much color because sun light doesn't get through. Everything was like on a black and white TV only in shades in swimming pool blue. The only color we saw was on the occasional fish that swam right up to the window.
