Default Problems with online excursion booking

My family and I are going on the Caribbean Princess July 16. The web site said that you can book excursions online 120 days in advance. As of today, we are still unable to book our excursion, even though we are now within 90 days. I called Princess and they first put me on hold for a very long time and then came back and said that I should try in about two weeks. Anyone else have this problem?

Thanks,
Cindy

We are sailing on the Golden July 21 and I have already booked our shore excursions. Maybe Princess hasn't lined up the S.E. for your trip yet?

Princess opens up excursions either 60 or 120 days prior to the date of sailing. It could be that for the Caribbean, Princess opens up the excursions 60 days instead of 120 days out.

Seems strange, I'm not sailing until Sept. and excursions are listed as available to book and its still over 4 months away.

Like Lisa says may depend on where you are cruising.

Thanks for the information. I'll just keep checking. Let me know if anyone else on this cruise is able to book.

keep on trying. Princess usually doesn't open excursion bookings until the final payment due date has come and gone.

I am glad I read this. my agent didn't mention we could book excursions on line. Nor did she say it would be better to get more info on princess.com. I will keep that in mind though

I wonder why they open some of the cruises earlier than others....

I was told when I called Princess that I could only start booking excursions 60 days in advance. I actually kept looking every week and the week before the 60 days I was finally able to start booking. I would just check it once a week.

Before booking excursions from the cruise line check the internet for excursions. Unless you are going somewhere really exotic it is much less expensive not to book with the cruiselines. There are many companies on line with who you can book excursions in addition tt many ports there are excursion companies at the dock to sell you excursions. If you are going to the beach or snorkling you likely wont need an excursion at all. I dont know if princess does this but another cruise like actually charges people around $30.00 for an excursion to go to a free public beach and they dont even provide transportation

Thanks. I didn't think about booking on my own. Looks like Princess' booking system is down tonight. I'll browse the net to see what I find.
