Is Princess moving to Brooklyn?

Is Princess one of the cruise lines that will be leaving from Brooklyn next year instead of Manhattan?

Thanks for any info.

Well you can check it in the princess site. The only ship I think will have NY as their departure port is the new Crown Princess, which will begin sailing in may, the schedule of thsi ship is already in the site. Look for Caribbean 2006

I was on the Golden Princess last week, San Juan to New York. The Captain mentioned that a new dock was being built for Princess, and I thought it was in New Jersey ? Doesn't RCCL have one over there now?

the Brooklyn dock was announced by Carnival, so there's a good chance Princess will dock there as well.
Anything would be better than the West Side piers - getting a cab after off the ship was near impossible.

I think RCC put money into the Bayonne NJ dock, and I don't know if the city will have other cruise lines in the future (although they would like to). the Bayonne dock has a parking facility and is pretty close to Newark airport
