We are going to the Mexican Riveria in Oct. I have made reservations with Randi's Happy Horses in Mazatlan. The ship is suppose to get there at 7:00 am, she said they will be waiting until 9:00am. Question is do you think we will be able to get off the ship in time? We didn't put any money on it but I'd hate to lose out. Also if we were late getting in the other excursions may be booked ??

Any thoughts from you seasoned cruisers?

Thanks, Jo

you should be ok.If all goes smoothy and you dock on time --it normally takes about an hour for the ship to dock, secure and clear customs before they let passengers disembark. Don't pay any money to the tour operator until you find out what their refund policy is if the ship is delayed and you miss your excursion. Most tour operators are very understanding, they have to be, their livelyhood greatly depends upon cruise business.
The most popular excursions are the ones that book up the fastest. If you find something that your really really want to do, book it as soon as you can.

We rode with Randi on our Riviera cruise in December 2000 - it's good to see she's still doing her tours. We all had a great time - the only drawback is that the other family that was booked took their own sweet time getting off the ship and we had to stand around with Randi for about 45 minutes.
