Princess balconies

I have never cruised on Princess before (only RCCL and Celebrity) and have noticed when seeing Princess ships in port that you can see down onto to other peoples balconies from the balconies above, and that they have no shade. Is there any floor on the Sapphire Princess where this is not the case (ie the higher floors)? Also, is Aloha the highest floor, then Baja, then Caribe etc? Any advice on choosing which floor to be on with a balcony cabin would be appreciated.

Cricket: You're correct. The highest deck is Aloha, then, Baja, then Caribe, etc. Aloha and Baja are covered. We had cabin B404 (Baja deck) and could see into the balconies below. Some were partially covered. I was worried that we'd have complete shade while sitting out on our balcony, but not to worry, we had plenty of sun. We were able to hear the band playing on the pool deck when sitting on the balcony, but not when in the cabin. Cabins had good sound proofing. Sun, warm weather, cool drink, music....ahhhhhh.....life is good. Enjoy your cruise.

Cricket, to follow on Susie's post -- Caribe balconies (very large 9X9) are half covered and half uncovered. Dolpin are totally exposed. We had a Dolphin one and loved the extra size and the total open didn't bother me at all.
