Soda/Juice Pass on Caribbean Princess
Royal Caribbean has a Soda/Juice pass that you can buy the day you sail. It's a great bargain. Anyone know if Princess has anything like this?

Yes, Princess has a soda pass - fountain drinks only ... NO cans or bottles. Price varies by length of cruise ... something about $25 to $30, I think though I've never bought it.

Thanks for the info. These passes are great....much better than paying $$ for a diet coke!

on Princess you get a soda sticker to go onto your sign and sail card. Its for fountain sodas only, Its like $25.00 for a 7 day cruise.

Re: Re: Soda/Juice Pass on Caribbean Princess
why have you not used it? and i'm guessing that it only applies to beverages that are NOT with a meal (ie, beverages at meal time are included with the meal?) do you know what the cost is per beverage, without the sticker?

Re: Soda/Juice Pass on Caribbean Princess
I think on our recent Princess cruise the soda card worked out to be roughly the equivalent of buying 4 sodas a day. So if you actually drink more than that a day, it's worth it.
Instead, I brought a 6-pack of 16-oz bottles of Coke in my luggage, while my wife brought a 6-pack of 20-oz Pepsis in her luggage. This lasted us the entire 10-day trip.
Juice is available in the buffet every morning, so if you have an empty water bottle you can fill it up.
For what it's worth, Princess only serves Coke products, so if you're normally a Pepsi drinker, or drink non-mainstream Coke products like the Cokes with Lime or Splenda or the no-caffeine ones, you'd be better off bringing your own.

Re: Soda/Juice Pass on Caribbean Princess
I haven't used it because I don't drink sodas. Believe the only free beverages in the dining room are coffee, tea, milk and water - and orange juice, etc. BUT not sodas. You either pay for them individually or use the sticker card.

Does Princess allow you to bring your own sodas on board? I didn't think that you could.

Re: Soda/Juice Pass on Caribbean Princess
txreadhead,
I don't like the fountain (what you get with a soda card) drinks. They usually have too little or too much syrup in them for my taste. If that doesn't bother you, and you drink four or more sodas a day, the card is probably a good deal.
On our Princess cruise I brought 2 six packs (plastic bottles) of Diet Coke onboard in a small carry-on bag, just to drink in the cabin. Like some people need coffee in the morning, I need my Diet Coke! There was no problem bringing it onboard and I used the empty carry-on for all the "stuff" I bought!
