Island Princess Hawaii

We are going on the Isalnd Princess on Feb 20, and will be in cabin D721.This is a mini-suite. It is near the stern, starboard sde. Has anybody stayed in these cabins, and if so, would you recoomend them? Also, is it advisable to take an upgrade or not? We took an upgrade on the Coral Princess and got a wonderful suite. We took an upgrade on the Diamond Princess and got a so so suite with a balcony that we could not use whne the ship was underway!

Hi,
Taking an upgrade from a minisuite should be a no brainer: there are very
few suitees whose location would so bad it become a '' downgrade''' from a
mini-suite.
Your D721 is quite good, imo. ...other than being accross from the laundromat...
One a very few staterooms on Dolphin deck which actually has a fully covered balcony.
Certain folks hesitate a bit at not being '' dead mid-ship'' but a minisuite aft is above
average in location. You might feel slight vibrations at sailaways and docking manoeuvres but nothing to write home about....besides, you spend over half of that
sailing at sea...!!

Happy sailing; you'll love it.

Thanks CG. We loved the Coral and I could not see where there would be an upgrade problem on its sister ship. However, our experience on the Diamond with going from a minisuite with a balcony to a suite without one was a close call. We missed sitting on the balcony, but the free minibar set up, free laundry/dry cleaning, order anything room service breakfast, free ors d'hourves in the afternoon came pretty close to making up for it. However, I want to keep by balcony on this trip.
