While the balcony will be somewhat smaller and totally exposed compared to your Caribe balcony cabin, I think the cabin itself more than makes up for it. There is lots of storage space. The cabin has two T.V.'s (one in bedroom area and one in sitting area). There is a mini-fridge and bar area with bar glasses (no liquor provided). The sitting area has a very comfortable sofa, small cocktail table and occasional chair. The bathroom is the best feature. Pretty much the size of a standard hotel bathroom with a large vanity area and full size bathtub.
I think you will love the mini-suite. We've always had one, but this time (9/17) we've opted for a Caribe deck balcony cabin. Hubby was diagnosed recently with disease that requires that he limit his time in the sun, and he loves to be out on the balcony. We couldn't take a chance with a totally exposed balcony and all the ones on Emerald Deck were booked. So we'll see how we like "slumming" in a standard balcony cabin!
