Default Is smoking allowed in rooms?

Hi,
Does anyone know if smoking is allowed in your room. Are there designated smoking rooms like in a hotel?

My wife is very allergic to cigarette smoke (she can get a bad case of asthma) and we are worried that we might be placed in a room that has had a previous smoker in it.

We have booked a cruise on the Grand Princess.

Any information would be appreciated.
Thanks

Smoking is allowed in all guest cabins on Princess. However they do a VERY good job of odorizing the cabins.

I honestly have heard very few complaints about people moving into their cabins to find they smell of smoke.

I believe the Grand Princess offers non-smoking rooms. I recommend a balcony cabin if you have allergies. That way you can keep the sliding door open to circulate the air.

Nope.. they don't! You can smoke in ALL cabins on Princess ships. Just don't want anyone to get their hopes up.
