First time Princess cruiser and I have a couple questions. My husband and I are traveling on Dawn Princess (November20,2005) 10 day Mexican Riviera cruise, and we would like to know if there is a big difference with space on the inside vs. outside cabins? We also would like to know if anyone would suggest one shore excursion over another in Cabo San Lucas, Puerta Vallarta and Mazatlan? Are there any shows on board that a DO NOT MISS Shows? Sterling Steakhouse, is it worth the extra money? OK I probably asked way too many questions, but I would appreciate any input we can get.
I am one of the orignal crew members on the Dawn. Outside cabins are large, and if you can afford the upgrade, go for the balcony cabins. They are fabulous. I never went on the route you are taking, so I cant help on tours. Definately do the steakhouse. its usually only a small cover charge and it's worth every penny. Many cruise ships now offer a seperate 'bistro' in addition to the standard dining room, and so far they have been well worth it. The Italian restaurant on the new Star Princess was outstanding.
I cant help with the tours because I didnt do that route, but I hope the information I gave you helps.
There is a tour in Mazatlan not offered by the cruise lines. It is a Tequila Factory, El Qute (sp) colonial and Mazatlan city tour.
You wil have to write to an individual who does a lot of tours for cruisers.
His e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org (Mazatlan Frank).
Should let you know it is not offered on Sundays.
There is no money up front, pay at the end.
