Airport to Ship Transfer

Okay, I've read the posts about ship to airport transfers, but what about airport to ship? I know that's probably a silly question, but I want to be sure. Is a taxi still the best way to go? We're flying into Fort Lauderdale and our ship leaves from there also. We're not sailing until May 20, 2006, but I'm just a little excited and want to find out as much info as possible so that we're well prepared.

Thanks in advance for any help/info!

You can do Airport to ship with cruiseline ...if you do their air package it is probably included.
The port is not too far so a taxi will also be ok

In Ft. Lauderdale your best bet by far is taxi. There are plenty of them at the airport, and the pier is about a 10 minute cab ride from the airport.Taxi fare is much cheaper than the shuttle cost.
The shuttle option is a good idea if you are traveling in a group just to make sure that everyone gets to the pier.

Definetly take a cab, it's much faster and less confusing. Bring along change though because the cab drivers have a tendancy of saying they don't have change for a $20. We paid $20 for a $11 trip. We should have known to bring singles and fives. Otherwise it was fast and easy.
