Default Will Princess price match?

I booked an inside stateroom cruise on the Sapphire Princess for Feb 4, 2006 yesterday directly through Princess (1-800-Princess). Today I noticed a significantly lower price for the same cruise/category on a different website. If I call Princess will they refund me the difference or offer me an upgrade?

It won't hurt to ask. Princess has a pricing policy which dictates that Travel Agents are not allowed to advertise rates cheaper than what Princess is offering. However, this Travel Agent may be advertising group rates which they locked in earlier. If that's the case, it's unlikely Princess would do anything to match their rate.

Definately phone and ask, and why not cancel and rebook at cheaper price? I also think you will get an upgrade( although I know they won't confirm that for you)

Since it's after the final payment I doubt it.

do a little research. Find out if the on-line agency will accept your booking from Princess or if the offer is for first-time bookings only. Check on any cancellation fees from Princess. Check all the detail from the on-line agency regarding fees (port charges, taxes, cancellation fees) If you can transfer the booking and if there are any fees,if it is still a good deal then go for it. Otherwise you will have to book your cruise with the on-line agency and then cancel your Princess booking, again check for all fees to see if its worth it.
