We're thinking of booking a cruise to Australia next year on the Sapphire Princess. Looking for some feed back and comments on this ship and itinerary. We just completed our 6th Princess cruise and our 35th cruise overall, but we haven't done this itinerary yet. Any information or comments will be greatly appreciated.
We were so SERIOUSLY thinking of the same cruise but I think it is now on the Diamond. Anyway, I asked different crew members I met on the Liberty and they recommended going in Feb/Mar after the kids are back in school and a little cooler weather. The airfare is sooo much so we are going to wait a couple of years. Go for it.

Did this cruise on the Regal Princess January 2003 and it was outstanding.
The Diamond/Sapphire are fantastic ships, great layout, dining options, everything about them. Have been on the Sapphire 2 times and the Diamond 1 time.
This is a great cruise. I'm a big Princess fan but did this on HAL, they had a 16 day route on the Prinsendam and the 4 extra ports in New Zealand were really great. I also agree thatt you need to spend time either before or after the trip. I spent a week in both Auckland (during the 2002 Americas Cup) and Sydney. LOVED Sydney.
