There is a CruiseMates group currently enjoying their last few days on the Island Princess. Go to this link and you can read all about it. http://cruisemates.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=547343

We were so inspired that we are seriously looking into it for next March.

We are just 3 days home from this same cruise Island Princess La to Hawaii. My husband's first cruise my second and we are completely hooked. Some complained there were too many days at sea but if you are a working person, as we are, it was great to have the down time going to Hawaii, rush rush to see everything and then 5 days to relax and work on that tan and get ready to go back to work.

IP to Hawaii cruise 1/21/06

Just a few days home from this wonderful cruise. I would highly recommend it. The sea days at the beginning and end are very relaxing, and there are plenty of available activities.
The entertainment offerings are varied; thereare recent full length movies every day and repeated in the late evening; the production shows were very good. The individual performers were varied - comedians, magician, ventriloquist, etc. There are bingo games. The casino is available in sea days (closed while in Hawaiian waters due to Hawaiian laws). There are daytime lectures. We were very fortunate to have a gentleman who is a naturalist, very knowledgable about Hawaii, also about Pearl Harbor. He had a daily presentation that drew large crowds. If he happens to be on your cruise, be sure to see him; his name is Bob Bassa. There were ice carving demonstrations and pastry demos (the pastries were then served at lunch in the Horizon Court).
The port days were great. Never enough time, of course, to see it all, but the shore excursion were really good and were a nice introduction to Hawaii for us first-timers.
There is so much more that I haven't mentioned.
My cousin and I have every intention of repeating the cruise in 2008, because it was such a great experience.
